1. The Snow Garden

ESF Saint-Gervais runs a Snow Garden for children from age 3, with specialized Piou-Piou instructors. Set up at the foot of the Saint-Gervais slopes, it's a safe space where little ones discover skiing gently.

2. Sledding

A sledding run reserved for families is accessible from the Saint-Gervais sector. Free with the lift pass, it delights children of all ages. In the evening, night sledding sessions are organized during school holidays.

3. The winter zip line

A 500 m zip line is set up during the winter season at the top of the Nants chairlift. Guaranteed thrills for children (and adults!) with a view of Mont-Blanc.

4. Discovering alpine wildlife on snowshoes

The Saint-Gervais Tourist Office offers guided snowshoe outings for families, with an introduction to alpine flora and fauna. An original way to discover the mountains with children.

5. Visiting an alpine farm

In winter, some farms around Saint-Gervais offer visits for children (learning about milking, cheese-making, meeting the animals). Book through the Tourist Office.

In summer: activities for families

6. The Saint-Gervais open-air pool

The Saint-Gervais summer pool is a classic feature of mountain summers. A paddling pool for little ones, a main pool, a sun deck: everything for a relaxing family day out.

7. Easy family hikes

The Tour du Plateau de Saint-Gervais (5 km, +150m, 1h30) is an ideal family hike for children from age 4. A 360° view of Mont-Blanc, a marked path, and all-terrain strollers are possible for the first few kilometers.

8. Le Bisse du Roy - A historic walk

This path follows an old irrigation canal along the mountainside. Flat, accessible to everyone, with views over the valley. A genuine historic walk that children love.

9. Marmot watching

From 1,500 m altitude around Saint-Gervais, marmots are everywhere from May to September. Children love watching these little alpine animals. Bring binoculars!

10. Family electric mountain biking

Several electric bike rental shops are available in Saint-Gervais village. Family-friendly routes connect the neighboring villages (Megève, Cordon) on safe tracks.

11. Chamonix and the Mont-Blanc Tramway (30 min)

Just 30 minutes from Saint-Gervais, Chamonix offers unmatched family activities: the Mont-Blanc Tramway (TMB), the Mer de Glace, the Aiguille du Midi. An unforgettable outing for children.

12. Lake Annecy (45 min)

In summer, Lake Annecy (45 min from Saint-Gervais) is a must for families: swimming, paddleboard rental, developed beaches, and Annecy's old town, reachable by bike.

Tree-top adventure parks are available around Saint-Gervais for children from age 4-5. Just 10-15 minutes by car, they offer courses suited to every age.

15. The Saint-Gervais local market

Every Tuesday morning in summer, the Saint-Gervais market brings together local producers and craftspeople. Alpine cheeses, mountain honey, Savoyard charcuterie: a friendly moment for the whole family.
